About the Project: The purpose of the project is to create the support page of a well-known brand of the market. Support must be done easily and quickly for the users of the company in question. This page must be for the web, with a focus on a standard page, without responsiveness and without concern on mobile.
The Challenge: Using the double diamond methodology, I went through the discovery phase and understood that there is a big accessibility problem on the entire site. On the support page, the problem was intense, as a visually impaired person cannot reach the phone number.
Solutions: Using the universal symbol of accessibility created by ONU, and applying it at the beginning of the website, we provide access without delay to the visually impaired, who use applications such as “voice over” to read the entire website.
In addition, I propose a better care with the site's codes, so that this type of program can read the relevant contents for the visually impaired.I also included the Libras app, thus also including the hearing impaired.
Results: Because it is a fictitious case, we were not able to measure the results. But due to accessibility, we can already predict an improvement in SEO and an increase in the reach of customers, since the disabled population in Brazil is about 46 million people.
